COELY
Coely, the undisputed icon who transcends not only national borders, but also the palette of colours and tastes. Whether you’re a baby boomer, gen X, millennial or anything in between, anyone who sees Coely live at work knows that she/x/he is witnessing world-class. With singles 'Celebrate' and 'Don't Care', Coely's previous 2018 album 'Different Waters' was good for a gold record, but for a long time there was a wait for a continuation of the story.
Fast forward to 2022, where Coely suddenly turned up at a select number of festivals with a solid comeback banger under her belt. At Cactus Festival, we got to experience the primal power of a reborn Coely from the front row. The combative 'Run It Up' popped through the speakers like a full-blown anthem, and Coely conducted her live band through a briskly moving concert on the border between hip-hop, pop and R&B.
