Brace yourself for the most epic clash ever - Bruges' students/ student clubs are going wild in a Highland Games competition! Don your kilt (no need to bring your own, of course), practise your best Scottish accent and prepare for a mega exciting competition full of Scottish flair!!! Prepare for plenty of Scottish Highland classics, from axe throwing to tug of war & pole throwing and much more!
Choose your teammates carefully as you will need a broad skillset!
Of course, the toughest Highlanders won't go home empty-handed either...
PRACTICAL:
Location - the football pitches next to the Krachtbar
Capacity - 20 teams of 5 people.
Het event is completely free for all participants
A drink & hotdog aangeboden will be offered at the start of the event..
Registrations are open until Thursday 28 March for members of a Bruges student club*
From Tuesday 2 April, registrations will be open to all Bruges students**
TIMETABLE:
6.00 PM: reception at the Krachtbar with a hotdog & drink for all participants
7.00 PM: start of the games
10.00 PM: end of the games & price-giving ceremony
11.00 PM: end of the evenement
Not so competitive but don't want to miss the spectacle? Then definitely just come down to support and soak up the Scottish smells and colours, besides, the Power Bar will be open all evening!!!
