Dutch language indie pop - a touch of synths, warm sounds & honest lyrics. MEAU, the solo project of singer, songwriter and producer Meau Hewitt (21), makes small, pure songs about everyday topics such as love, personal development and loneliness. Her warm voice and dreamy choruses land where acoustic instruments and electronic sounds meet. Some of MEAU's big inspirations are Eefje de Visser, Jeremy Zucker and Holly Humberstone. Her debut single "Kalmte" (Sept 2020) was followed by the debut EP of the same name (June 2021). Then in Sept 2021, there was Meau's most personal single 'Dat heb jij gedaan' which was awarded Megahit (3FM), Alarmschijf (Q-music) and TopSong (Radio 2), among others. With 'Dat heb jij gedaan', which has been camped out in the highest regions of the Ultratop for weeks, MEAU immediately comes in through the big gate. An impressive and captivating calling card from an artist we will hear a lot from in the future. After sold-out shows in Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent, MEAU is also adding Bruges to her tour!

Student Concert Night is a brand-new collaboration between Brugge Studentenstad and Cactus Music Center: together we select a number of concerts from the Cactus program during the academic year for which you, as a student* at a higher education institution in Bruges, can buy a ticket with a 50% discount on the regular vvk price! So this concert costs €9 instead of €18. Be quick, because the number of tickets at preferential rate per concert is limited.
A ticket at this special rate can only be purchased on presentation of a valid student card* at the In&Uit Brugge box office, 't Zand 34 (ground floor Concertgebouw). In&Uit is open Monday to Saturday from 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm and on Sunday from 10am - 2pm.
