WINSTON SURFSHIRT

With their combination of West-Coast hip-hop, psych-pop and sunny Australian charm, Winston Surfshirt worked their way up all the way from Sydney to become one of the funkiest new R&B/soul-pop bands. Since their breakthrough with the laidback "Be About You," the sextet, led by rapper, singer and producer Winston Surfshirt himself, have been stringing together successful singles and unique collabs. Their feel-good music immediately caught attention across the channel from BBC coryphist Zane Lowe and Sir Elton John, who promptly dubbed Winston Surfshirt as his "favorite band of the moment." Their rendition of their hit song "For Real" on the YouTube platform COLORS was viewed a whopping 3 million times. Those paying close attention also saw Winston Surfshirt pass in the liner notes of Blackwave.'s album 'Are we Still Dreaming,' where they contributed 'The Antidote' along with Benny Sings.

Student Concert Night is a brand-new collaboration between Brugge Studentenstad and Cactus Music Center: together we select a number of concerts from the Cactus program during the academic year for which you, as a student* at a higher education institution in Bruges, can buy a ticket with a 50% discount on the regular vvk price! So this concert costs €7 instead of €14. Be quick, because the number of tickets at preferential rate per concert is limited.
A ticket at this special rate can only be purchased on presentation of a valid student card* at the In&Uit Brugge box office, 't Zand 34 (ground floor Concertgebouw). In&Uit is open Monday to Saturday from 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm and on Sunday from 10am - 2pm.
